So It's taking me a while to get it out Honestly if I didn't care about adding backgrounds and proper animation it would've come out weeks ago but I'm too much of a hypercritic of my own work (even though it looks dumb as shit) I haven't forgotten about my NG and I am trying to make more posts on the side but if i do it will mean making the wait for the music video longer but I'll leave that up to anyone who reads this. Eh, fuck it here are the options for anyone who cares. Oh also some frames from the animation.
A. Just keep working on the music video
B. Short animations on the side (music video takes longer to come out)
(just comment your answer and if no one comments then I'll just make up my mind)

I say to go with the first option and focus on the music video. Once its done, then you can make smaller animation projects without the worry of a yet to be finished larger scale animated music video because you completed that first. Plus it will ensure that the music vid is that best that you can make it when there aren't smaller projects to plan out and script ideas for.
I'm sure that it will come out great regardless which path you choose to take moving forward.
